::Argussian Technological Overview::
Argussian technology is still somewhat of a mystery to the Federation due to the extreme distance from the Argussian native homeworld in the "Altia" Galaxy (Argussian Designation) located within the Virgo Cluster of galaxies.
However analysis of Admiral Frostmane's vessel, which carried both his family and him to the Milky Way after their exile from Argussia for opposing their xenophobic cultural traits, has yielded some interesting findings about the state of Argussian technology.
First of all, Argussian technology is decades ahead of the Federation in many areas, possessing intergalactic travel and powerful weaponry. Logs provided by the U.S.S. Republic illustrated the few encounters with Argussian vessels to easily outmatch even the most advanced Federation designs.
However, a detailed analysis of their computer interface system suggests that no two Argussian vessels are identical, composed of many different technologies, all stolen from alien races who happened to wonder into the Pegasus Nebula.
Most Argussian technology has shown signs of extreme reverse engineering to meet the specifications of their starships. Some of the more prominent findings are listed below;
::"Pegasus Drive" Transwarp Technology::
Argussian starships are equipped with "Pegasus Drive" (Argussian designation) Transwarp Technology. This technology involves emitting a massive graviton flux from the vessels main deflector array which causes a severe bias in subspace, effectively creating a matter stream between the vessels location and target location.
A subspace bubble is formed around the vessel, similar to that of a transporter beam, which converts the vessel into energy which it then sends the vessel, as energy through the subspace bias and rematerialises on the other side.
This type of technology is way beyond even Starfleet's most powerful Quantum Slipstream transwarp system, allowing an Argussian vessel to cross between two points, seemingly without any limitations of distance.
It is currently unknown what limitations the drive has, if any and what physiological effects it may have on the crew inside the vessel.
::Defensive Systems::
Argussian defensive systems are comparable with Federation technology. The Argussian vessels have a wide variety of offensive weaponry but favor plasma weapons, same as the Romulan Star Empire. However their plasma forms a powerful "Envelope" which encases the enemy ship, doing damage to all shield faces simultaneously.
Argussian shield systems however are substantially weaker then Federation variants. Federation phasers are able to drain Argussian shields by 50% in one shot, suggesting that the Argussians prefer to use hull armor rather then shield based energy technology.
::Combat Tactics::
Due to combat records, obtained from the USS Republic NCC-1307-C and Starbase Alexandria, Argussian prefer to rely on their vessels speed and agility during combat, preferring a full frontal assault to overwhelm their enemy.
It is usually advised to elude an Argussian vessel and target its rear where there is minimal shielding and no offensive weaponry.
::Other notes::
- Argussians seem to be competent in genetic manipulation and cloning. There are several documented incidents where cloning has been shown to be commonplace on Argus.
- Argussian medical technology is primitive by Federation standards as they rely only on their own medical understanding because of their xenophobic nature.
